Is my Osteopath treatment covered?
The Ontario Osteopathic Association, to which I am a part of, has done a phenomenal job making sure a majority of the major insurance companies offer coverage for osteopathic treatment. If you are personally covered it may depend on the benefits you pay into. Make sure you take the time contact your provider to see if your benefits cover treatments, they will want to know that I am a part of the Ontario Osteopathic Association. When you know you are "covered" call me to book your consultation! Don't have coverage? Don't worry I will look after you!Do you ship oversees and to P.O. boxes?
What should I wear to an Osteopath?
What to wear to an appointment? Simple: casual and clothes that stretch!! Osteopathic treatments generally consist of treating the body from head to toe. This involves the movement of the patient’s joints through their ranges of motion. With this in mind, as a patient, the osteopathic manual therapist needs to have the freedom to move the person on the treatment table easily. By wearing looser fitting clothing or clothing that has the ability to stretch makes the therapist job more efficient. So grab those yoga pants, (or track pants if your a guy) and head on over!!!
How many treatments will I need?
Everyone has a unique rate of healing and progression towards a better state of heath and healing. I like to personally see an improvement with the first 4-6 appointments. One of the core principles of osteopathic treatment is that the body is self-healing and self-regulating, the therapist is a facilitator of the principle
